Meanwhile 24...Opps.

Looks like Meanwhile 24's feed was actually 23. This little fauxpas has been fixed and the feed should be fine now.

Meanwhile 24...A Kind of Magic!

Magic is a weird thing in Supers games. No two settings have an exact system, no two magicians seem the same. But one thing that really helps is a reference to help making characters easier. Matthew Kaiser has a new Mutants and Masterminds Superlink product "Spells and Rituals" that adds a healthy number of premade spells and new optional Ritual rules to help. Nothing like making the player and GM's life easier eh?

Meanwhile 23...In Space!

Times time I grabbed oldscool and Ganthet from the d20radio forums to talk about Blackest Night, Cosmic gaming, and general comicbook fan chatter. I'll warn you, this is a long one and you hardcore RPG fans may want to dive in around the hour mark to get some good advice about running Space based games. Such is the origin of our title.

Meanwhile 22...Batman and the Caped Crusader

Jerry Grayson was free to chat up one of the big icons of the Superhero community. Batman himself! We blather on about what makes up a good caped crusader, the last main of the archtype series of characters, and a bit about recent games and portrayals of the character. I forget just how powerful a theme Batman has, and I determined that I never want to live in Gotham City...ever.

Meanwhile 21...Hero System 6th Edition

Ah, it's always good to have a fall back system for your Supers gaming. Hero System has become my game of choice in the recent years. I use to be a GURPS junkie, and still support that system and it's products, but the mix of a local mentor and the flexablity I find with it's power structures just sync up with what I like from a Supers game. For someone else it's Mutants and Masterminds mechanics, another swears by Wild Talents ORE, etc. No two Supers gamers are alike in their desire and taste in games.

Steve Long said he would come back for another interview when Hero System 6th Edition came out. And he kept to that promise. And HERO System 6th Edition is out! I can't tell you how excited about this I am.

Meanwhile 20...Meanwhile meet The Minus World

What can I say, I play a lot of games. I give games a gifts to people, I think about video/rpg/card/minis games on a day in day out process. So when The Minus World crew agreed to do a crossover cast my mind turned back to my days of playing old Super Powered video games. So many bad Superhero games, too many bad ones. Bleh. But recently things have been improving and I have hope. Either way, enjoy the new cast.

Meanwhile 19...BASH! Basic Action Super Heroes

I had a chance to talk to Chris Rutkowsky creator of BASH: Basic Action Super Heroes. I must say I always love cracking into a new super system. Something always comes out of it. Be it a nice idea how to handle powers, or a new spin on system balance. BASH is easier than most and it's friendly to new players. So why not? With the Ulimate Edition coming down the line with some really cool art and loads more content it's something worth checking out.
